Nunchuk Releases Coldcard Multi-Signature Wallet Migration Guide, Urges High-Risk Users to Transfer Assets Immediately

Nunchuk has released an update regarding the Coldcard security incident, advising users of multi-signature wallets generated with Coldcard to migrate their funds as soon as possible. Users should take different measures based on the risk level of their multi-signature wallets: if the number of Coldcard-generated keys meets the wallet's signature threshold, immediate migration is recommended; if there is only one Coldcard-generated key and it is below the signature threshold, migration is advised as soon as possible but does not require urgent action. Nunchuk will roll out a mobile update that automatically enables the Slipstream channel for paid users, allowing any auxiliary multi-signature wallet transaction containing at least one Coldcard key to be submitted through Slipstream, reducing the risk of being monitored and replaced. For those wishing to act immediately or for free users, Nunchuk provides a manual migration option, where users need to create a migration transaction and complete the multi-signature signing, but do not broadcast it, and then submit the original transaction data to the Slipstream platform.
