Ukrzaliznytsia has expanded its fleet with three new passenger cars for international trains No. 24/23 Khmelnytskyi-Kyiv and No. 120/119 Khmelnytskyi-Dnipro. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has received 21 new cars out of the planned 100. The new cars will be used on routes from Polish Khmelnytskyi, where an increased passenger flow is expected before the start of the school year. The cars are equipped with air conditioning systems, enhanced battery packs, individual sockets and USB ports, as well as toilets with changing tables. More than 150 Ukrainian manufacturers and suppliers are involved in the production of the cars. The state program provides for the delivery of 100 new passenger cars, including compartment, inclusive, and next-generation cars with an extended service life of 20 years. The supply of the entire batch is expected to be completed by May 2028. It is worth noting that Ukrzaliznytsia suspended the Kyiv-Khmelnytskyi train in September 2023.
