IREN Limited has completed the acquisition of cloud software and services provider Mirantis. This acquisition is seen as a strategic move to build an integrated platform by adding cloud software, orchestration, monitoring, and customer support capabilities to IREN's AI cloud platform. The acquisition cost consisted of approximately 12.6 million shares of common stock, $40 million in cash, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other considerations. IREN's stock price fell by 3.0% to $39.75, with concerns over the acquisition putting downward pressure on the stock. IREN plans to strengthen its open and flexible foundation for AI workloads and aims to provide high-quality AI infrastructure solutions to enterprise customers by integrating Mirantis's cloud management and monitoring technologies. IREN's stock closed at $40.85, with a 52-week high of $76.87 and a low of $15.91. Investment information provider Jacks has included IREN as a key investment idea. The improvement in IREN's performance is expected to be a key factor determining the direction of its stock price.
