Famous Trader Killa: Don't Short Bitcoin After It Breaks the Downtrend Line

On August 7, renowned trader Killa stated that once Bitcoin breaks the current long-term downtrend line, one should not short it. He pointed out that in the previous cycle, many people overcomplicated the simple trend reversal, and the weekly chart is the best confirmation signal. Killa provided charts showing the weekly Bitcoin charts from 2026, 2022, and 2018, all of which exhibit a similar descending channel pattern after reaching high points, drawing a comparison to the current market structure. Killa is a quantitative trader focused on BTC and predicted the peak of this bull market in May 2025. He has over 200,000 followers on platform X. In mid-April, he shorted Bitcoin at $74,688 and switched to long during the market-wide decline on June 5.
