Payment platform Decta will use USD Coin (USDC) for international settlements of its own funds. Instead of introducing stablecoins on the customer payment screen, it will apply them to internal financial operations such as fund transfers between overseas entities and liquidity management. Decta plans to convert its company funds into USDC in collaboration with OpenPaid for international operational settlements. Lux Tiagarajah, Chief Commercial Officer at OpenPaid, explained that this is a case of internal financial utilization rather than a payment flow directed at customers. After transferring funds to OpenPaid's regulatory infrastructure, Decta will convert them into USDC through over-the-counter trading, and the converted funds will be used for operational settlements between entities in different countries. The purpose of Decta's utilization is to facilitate fund transfers between overseas entities, manage liquidity, and streamline financial operations. Scott Dawson, CEO of Decta's UK entity, stated that he aims to make financial operations faster and simpler while maintaining existing controls and regulatory principles. This application does not mean that Decta's customers will pay for goods or services using USDC. It is an example of digital asset-based settlement technology expanding into the corporate finance sector, with Decta setting the scope of application starting from internal fund transfers rather than stablecoin issuance or customer payments.
