BNB Smart Chain aims to enhance network efficiency with the BEP 675 update. This change addresses the inefficiencies caused by block producers and validators executing the same block twice. According to test results, the transaction capacity increased from 1,237 to 2,324 per second with BEP 675, representing an 88% increase. The average block gas usage rose from 46.35 million to 84.15 million. BEP 675 allows block producers to send fully executed blocks using the SendBidBlock method. In this model, validators sign and broadcast the block, with full validation occurring later. Tests showed that the load on validators dropped from 125 milliseconds to 15 milliseconds, giving block producers approximately 100 milliseconds of additional time to place transactions. Furthermore, it was observed that the additional capacity did not increase finality delays, with P99 finality remaining at one or two block levels. BEP 675 stands out as part of BNB Smart Chain's scaling plan extending to 2026.
