Anthropic is in talks to acquire AI startup Decart for approximately $6 billion, although the deal has not yet been finalized and may still fall through. If completed, this would be Anthropic's largest known acquisition to date. The Decart team will join Anthropic's reasoning and performance department. Decart is known for its real-time video capabilities and world models, with products including Lucy, which modifies videos in real-time, and Oasis, which generates virtual worlds interactively. Additionally, Decart has developed DOS, a chip optimization software that enhances AI chip utilization. In May of this year, Decart raised $300 million, bringing its valuation close to $4 billion. If the acquisition goes through at $6 billion, it would represent a roughly 50% premium over its last valuation. Previously, Decart was close to being acquired by NVIDIA, but negotiations fell through due to a higher bid.
